SWAP DETAILS:

This SWAP programme includes qualifications in Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry, Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work which are needed to apply for your SIA License, Level 1 Employability Award, Level 2 Understanding Behaviors that Challenges and Level 2 Mental Health First Aid and Advocacy in the Workplace.

Who is this course aimed at?

The course is for anyone who is unemployed or earning under London living wage, wanting to work within the security sector.

Benefits to you?

The course gives you the opportunity to prepare for the job role and gain First Aid & security training/SIA badge, to meet the employer and be put forward for an interview.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible you must be aged 19 plus, have been living in the UK for minimum 1 year or have refugee status and not earning over the London Living wage of £23,302.50 per year. You also must be a London resident.

To apply for SIA badge, you must ideally have a 5-year address history, criminal offences may impact your application – Capital City College does not make the decision to grant or decline your SIA Badge application.

  • National Insurance number
  • Passport/EU ID card plus Settled Status or Pre-Settled Status/birth certificate or residence Permit
  • Proof of state benefits or wage, if earning below, e.g. JSA or UC and payslips, dated in the last three months.
  • Proof of address i.e. utility bill, bank statement, dated in last three months.

Please note if you have a customer that has an SIA licence they can still be referred for a job vacacny but would been to complete a couple week of the SWAP.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible you must be aged over 19, currently live in London and have an UK/EU ID or passport and Home Office papers or Residence Permit. You must also have a computer or laptop with access to wi-fi to attend this course. If necessary this can be discussed with your work coach in case additional support is required.
