Labour market overview, UK: April 2020

• The UK unemployment rate for the three months to February 2020 was estimated at 4.0%.

• There were an estimated 795,000 vacancies in the UK in January to March 2020; this is 52,000 fewer than a year earlier. 

• The wholesale & retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motor cycles has a high number of vacancies during the period of January - March 2020. With human health and social work activities also having a high number of roles, with COVID-19 having an impact of these sectors.
