Seasonal jobs
Seasonal jobs are a great way to gain experience for your CV and helps you to build on your skills.
Seasonal jobs can help you get your foot in the door at a particular company. While there are no guarantees, if you’re available to work when the job is over, the employer may be willing to continue your seasonal employment after the regular season ends.
Even if the seasonal job doesn’t lead to long-term employment at that company, by making new contacts, you’re expanding your network and increasing your chances of finding a job that isn’t seasonal somewhere else. If nothing else, your manager may be willing to act as a reference when you need one or could connect you to people who are hiring non-seasonal employees.
Seasonal work is also perfect for flexible schedules. Retail roles are a great example. During the busy shopping season, stores, delivery companies, and fulfilment centres often extend their hours. This gives you the opportunity to work early morning or late-night hours if that type of schedule suits you.
