The Office for National Statistics have release a report – Coronavirus and the latest indicators for the UK economy and society.
  • Of UK businesses that responded to our fortnightly Business Impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) Survey (BICS) for the period 20th April to 3rd May 2020, 44% of businesses who had not permanently ceased trading between 20th April and 3rd May reported that their cash reserves would last less than six months.

  • 91% of businesses who had paused trading applied for the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, compared with 72% of businesses who were still trading.
