Tesco have three types of roles, Warehouse Team Member, Clerical Team Member and Training Team Member.

As a Warehouse Team Member, you’ll be someone who can pick and assemble stock quickly and accurately, following the correct procedures and keeping to health and safety guidelines.

To be a Clerical Team Member you’ll need to be someone with an eye for detail, to make sure deliveries are correctly processed, that products are available as needed and computer systems are running smoothly.

As a Training Team Member, you'll be someone who can deliver the training your colleagues need. You will look after records to show that everyone is properly trained and it's important to have the flexibility to get involved in warehouse teamwork when you’re not training.

To succeed as a team member, you’ll be someone who can put people at the heart of everything you do, building relationships with your team and acting quickly to help customers. Royal Mail

Royal Mail is at the centre of the UK’s economy, they are responsible for the largest B2B customer database in the UK with circa. 250,000 trading customers and they employ 150,000 people, which is 1% of the entire UK workforce.

Posties & Sorting

Royal Mail’s postie and sorting teams are the centre of everything they do. They’re hands-on, making sure every single letter and parcel reaches the right person as soon as possible. Posties collect the day’s deliveries from the sorting office and head out to deliver it to the community, whilst sorting teams continue to process mail arriving from around the country.

Drivers

Over 6,000 drivers take letters and parcels between around 1,500 locations across every corner of the country. There are night shifts and long drives. Every driver has what they need and knows exactly where to go so they can spend more time helping the UK public get their deliveries.

Operations Management

Operations Managers help to consistently deliver for customers by achieving maximum productivity from the processing, delivery, and collections centres. Across the three areas of Processing, Delivery and Collections, they co-ordinate and guide their teams, ensuring everybody feels supported to have a big impact every time they come to work.

Facilities

Post boxes, distribution centres and all the other facilities that help us deliver the mail are an essential part of what we do and it’s the Property & Facilities team’s job to maintain and upgrade them. With over 2,600 sites and countless post-boxes across the UK, it’s one of the largest corporate real estates in Europe and a complex job to keep them up to date.

The Property & Facilities team combines an enormous range of skills including engineers, legal teams, project managers, cleaners, and estate managers. Together, they make sure every facility complies with legal and industrial regulations and is set up to succeed.

Technology

From AI and automation to big data, the Technology team are driving change across the business and helping Royal Mail more than ever before. They work to keep the lights on for the workforce and the nation; preventing Cyber threats, improving customer experiences, and supporting the services that deliver for the nation.

Head Office

An operation of this size needs a strong support network, and the HR, Finance, IT, Sales & Marketing departments at Head Office are all crucial elements in the day to day running, as well as growth and transformation.

Fleet Maintenance

The Fleet Maintenance team are essential in keeping our 49,000 vehicles operational. The supply chain is heavily reliant on vans and medium and large goods vehicles, the network of 110 workshops enables it to run continuously, safely, and efficiently.

It’s not all about what happens in the workshop either. Royal Mail have a great variety of technical & non-technical roles available, where people of all experience levels can learn and develop a range of transferable skills. People need to be adaptable and strong problem-solvers, since they’re diagnosing and fixing different vehicles, with different issues, every day.

The Engineering team is fundamental to transformation strategy, as they continuously optimise operations.
